Uh Oh! My Dog Has Gas. What Do I Do?

Well let me tell you a little story...

Way back in the 1970's (and I know what you're thinking... were you even alive back then? You don't look a day over 40!), I started selling soda out of an old 3-bay gas station.

Now here's the twist: what started as a post-college gig to sell soda, quickly turned into a pet food business after I brought home my pup Bentley, and noticed (while shopping for pet food) that there was more pet food on the shelves than soda!

Bingo.

After learning all I could about pet nutrition and what my customers wanted, I started selling premium pet food in the late 80's.

But one question I got asked ALL the time, was...

"My dog has horrible gas, what can I do?"

And it didn't just stop at gas! Loose stool, upset stomachs, diarrhea and vomiting - you name it, I heard it ALL!

In true veterinary fashion, Docs would tell my customers - "go home and cook chicken and rice."

And that sounds all well and good. But my customers were busy people with busy lives, and I knew that. I wanted to help them solve a very real problem - and I wanted to do it without breaking the bank - so I came out with our Dave's Bland Chicken and Rice!

Why does it work?

According to vets, white rice is a simple carb that helps bind dogs' stomachs, and chicken is a bland protein that shouldn't cause too much of an issue.

Now of course, we're not claiming that this is the solution to everything - but the reviews speak for themselves, folks!

Are you feeding table scraps or other treats?

As humans, we enjoy a nice treat every once in a while. And since we love our pets, we want to treat them too. But ever heard of 'too much of a good thing, is a bad thing?' Sometimes without realizing it, we sneak in one too many.

So, how do I treat my dog with a sensitive stomach?

You give them sensitive tummy treat options! These Made-In-The-USA, Board Certified Veterinary Nutritionist reviewed treats are formulated with sensitive stomachs in mind. They contain prebiotic fiber-rich, gut-friendly ingredients. Plus, sweet potato and pumpkin, which are high in fiber and support digestion. Because a little table food, or an extra treat from the fridge can sometimes set your dog back to square one, which is no fun for anyone!

In the news and more!

You can read all the incredible reviews we have of our bland formula on Chewy & Amazon! And this stellar review on Dog Food Advisor as well!

We know how important your dog's gut health is, and we're truly honored to have been helping relieve their gas for all these years!

So that's it, thanks for tuning in folks!
