Uh Oh! My Dog Has Gas. What Do I Do?

Let me take you back in time for a moment...

Picture this: it’s the 1970s. I’m standing in an old 3-bay gas station - not pumping gas, but selling soda. (And yes, I know what you’re thinking: “Wait, were you even around in the 70s? You don’t look a day over 40!” Appreciate it!)

At the time, it was just a post-college gig. Soda in one hand, dreams in the other.

Then along came Bentley - my four-legged best friend. Like any good pet parent, I went out shopping for some dog food. But when I got to the store, something strange caught my eye...

There was way more pet food on the shelves than soda.

Lightbulb moment.

That was the beginning of a journey that would change everything. I dove headfirst into learning about pet nutrition - what makes food healthy, what ingredients to avoid, and what pets really need to thrive. By the late ‘80s, I was selling premium pet food, not soda.

But Then Came the Big Question...

Once I started helping pet parents find better food, there was one question I heard more than anything else:

“My dog has terrible gas - what can I do?”

It didn’t stop there. I got stories about loose stools, upset stomachs, vomiting... you name it. It wasn’t just uncomfortable for the dogs - it was a problem for the whole household!

Vets would often recommend the classic “boiled chicken and rice” approach. Great advice, sure - but not always realistic. Most of my customers were busy people juggling work, family, and life. Cooking separate meals for their dog? Not always in the cards.

So, I Created a Solution

That’s how Dave’s Bland Chicken & Rice was born.

It’s made with simple, wholesome ingredients your dog’s tummy can handle - just like the vet recommends, but without the hassle.

White rice: A gentle, binding carbohydrate that’s easy on digestion.

Chicken: A lean, bland protein that most dogs tolerate well.

We’re not saying it’s a miracle cure for everything - but trust us, the reviews speak for themselves.

Sneaky Culprit: Are Treats Causing the Trouble?

Let’s talk about treats for a second. We love treating our dogs - just like we enjoy indulging ourselves. But sometimes, those extra bites from the table (or one too many snacks from the treat jar) can throw off their entire digestive system.

“Too much of a good thing…” You know the saying.

If your pup has a sensitive stomach, you don’t have to skip treats altogether. Just make sure you’re giving the right kind.

Our sensitive tummy treats are:

Formulated with help from a Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist

Packed with prebiotic fiber, pumpkin, and sweet potato to support healthy digestion

Made right here in the USA

Because no one wants to take one step forward… and two (gassy) steps back.

The Word is Out!

Woof!
