What To Feed A Dog With An Upset Stomach

Back when I had my pet stores, one of the most common questions that my customers would ask me is...

My dog has horrible gas, what do I do?

And it didn't just stop with gas! I heard, "My dog has diarrhea!" or "My Dog is vomiting!" You name it, I heard it all ways dogs had an upset stomach. And 99% of the time, all the vets would recommend the same thing - give your dog bland, chicken and rice!

But the problem was, way back when, there weren't really many convenient, affordable, and accessible food options that most dog owners could get...which was the reason I came out with our Dave's, bland chicken and rice!

Why does it work?

According to the vets, the rice is a simple carb that helps bind their stomachs, and the chicken isn't rich enough to cause much of an issue. To be honest, this can work well with humans as well...but we don't advise you eat our food (unless you want to!)

Now of course, if this doesn't solve the issue, or there is increased vomiting, you should 100% call your vet and do a deeper dive into what's going on! Upset stomachs can be a simple thing or a sign of a deeper health issue.

Table scraps and other treats?

The other issue if your dog has an upset stomach is - how do I treat my dog? And that's EXACTLY why we came out with our expanded line of sensitive tummy treat options! Because a little table food, or an extra treat from the fridge can sometimes set your dog back to square one, which is frustrating for everyone!

In the news and more!

You can read all the incredible reviews we have of our bland formula on Chewy & Amazon! And read this incredible review on Dog Food Advisor as well!

We know how important your dog's tummy health is, and we're truly honored to have been helping relieve their gas for all these years!

So that's it, thanks for listening folks!
